Lip Lift

Lip Lift

What is Lip Lift?
Lip Lift operation is a procedure performed to give upward direction and volume to the lips of people with very thin or low upper lip. Thanks to the lip lift method, the upper lip gets a thicker and fuller appearance. In addition, a more natural result can be obtained when compared to other applications. During the application, a small incision is made between the nose and lips, on the folds just below the nose. With this incision, the desired amount of skin is removed and the distance between the lip and the nose is shortened. The patient's lip is curved upwards and has a fuller appearance. It is then sutured again with minimal scarring. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in clinical conditions. The procedure takes an average of 1 hour and the patient can go home after the procedure.

Who can have Lip Lift treatment done?
The distance between the nose and the lip should be an ideal length. This ideal length is generally 11-15 mm. People who are longer than the ideal ratio of this length and have thin upper lips are the most suitable patients for lip lift application. This area may be congenitally long, or in people who have undergone rhinoplasty, it may start to appear longer because the tip of the nose rises. Lip lift can be applied to people who are not satisfied with lip fullness and want fuller lips, or to people whose nose and lip are longer than normal.

Post-operative process
After the lip lift procedure, there may be a feeling of swelling and stretch in the area for the first few days. These feelings go away on their own within a few days. At this stage, consuming soft foods and taking care not to stretch the area will speed up the healing process. It is not necessary to remove the stitches as they are aesthetic stitches. The patient can return to his daily life in an average of 3 days.
