What are zygomatic implants?
Zygomatic implants are longer titanium fixtures that bypass a resorbed upper jaw and anchor in the dense bone of the cheekbone (zygoma). They can support a fixed full-arch bridge when standard or All-on-X placement is not possible in the maxilla.
Indications are confirmed only after CBCT review. Your surgeon explains whether a hybrid approach (zygomatic plus standard implants) or a quad zygomatic protocol is appropriate, and whether the lower arch can be treated with All-on-4 or All-on-6 at the same time.
