What is Smart Lens?
Smart lens exchange (RLE — Refractive Lens Exchange) removes the natural crystalline lens and replaces it with a precisely selected premium IOL: multifocal for distance and near vision, EDOF for an extended range, or toric for astigmatism correction. The procedure is identical to cataract surgery but performed electively to achieve spectacle independence — and permanently prevents cataract formation as the artificial lens cannot cloud.
Smart lens is the preferred option for patients over 45, high prescriptions outside the laser correction range, or those with dry eyes or corneal irregularities that exclude laser treatment. IOL selection is made after full biometry, lifestyle discussion, and ocular measurements. All procedures are carried out at Ministry of Health–approved partner facilities. Your coordinator confirms the clinical team, hospital, and travel schedule in writing before you commit.

Typical visit outline
- Day 1: Arrival, biometry, IOL selection, and pre-operative assessment.
- Day 2: First eye procedure. Rest and post-operative review.
- Day 3: Second eye procedure (where applicable) and post-operative review.
- Day 4–5: Final check before departure.
